Yesterday around 6:30 pm, two LAPD officers shot down a 40 year old Latino man in the head in the Los Feliz area. The man tried to approach the officers asking for help with a towel wrapped around one of his arms. The officers assumed he had a gun and shot him three times, at least once in the head. He was handcuffed after being shot. It has now been revealed the man did not have a gun or weapon of any sort. His name is not given, however the man is currently in critical condition.

The police refuse to give the name of the man they shot, however LA weekly says the man’s name is Walter de Leon and is 48 years old. This article came out a few minutes ago, so hopefully the name will be confirmed by other sources soon, to be 100% sure.
Also, LAPD are asking witnesses to come forward because the officers had their bodycams and dashboard cam in the car turned off. LAPD is also investigating if this was a “suicide by cop”, meaning the man intentionally provoked the cops to get killed. They have stated that the man was acting “aggressively”. They are refusing to give any other details because without a doubt LAPD are trying to fabricate a story to justify the shooting.
