John Scott Harrison (1804-1878), the only son of a president to become father of a president.

March 25th, 1854

In a letter to his son Benjamin Harrison, who was moving to Indianapolis. The father wrote numerous letters of introduction, but asserted that none were needed in Old Tippecanoe’s backyard.
